| PDA Cruiser can be used to inventory and
tabulate trees and logs. It retains job and tree data that can be
entered, edited, and deleted by the user.
Job data includes name, board footage scale, comments,
and the data of trees belonging to the job.
Tree data includes species, diameter, number of 16' logs, disposition,
category, latitude, longitude, altitude, and comments. Built-in
lists of tree species, disposition, and category are provided. You
can enter additional entries to these lists.
Cruiser has extensive built-in help to guide you in its operation.

As soon as tree data is entered, Cruiser automatically
computes board footage, which can be in Doyle, International, or
Scribner scale. Board footage can be viewed on a per job, per tree,
or per species basis. The user can change the board footage scale
for a job at any time.
Data can be transferred from Cruiser to your PC. The data can be
viewed and manipulated in an Excel spreadsheet. Data is transferred
to your PC in Comma Separated Value (CSV) format.
Cruiser DT, the desktop companion tool, comes with Cruiser to facilitate
manipulation of data on your desktop PC.
The free trial version of Cruiser allows
2 jobs with 10 trees each. The full-up version of Cruiser supports
10 jobs with 2048 trees each. |

The Job Screen (shown above) lists the trees in the
current job. For each tree, the diameter (DBH), the number of 16'
logs (#16' Logs), and the board footage are displayed. The total board
footage for the job is also displayed. Board footage for the trees
and the job are shown in the scale selected for the job. |
